Brinelmor Consult played a key role in supporting the evaluation of the Strategic Plan for the Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute (JKCI), alongside contributing to the development of a new and improved strategic framework. The assignment was designed to ensure that the institution’s long-term vision and operational priorities are well aligned with national health policies and evolving healthcare needs in Tanzania.
The evaluation process involved a comprehensive review of the existing strategic plan, assessing its effectiveness in guiding institutional performance, service delivery, and resource utilization. This included stakeholder consultations, internal performance assessments, and benchmarking against national and international best practices in specialized healthcare management.
A major focus of the assignment was strengthening performance indicators to ensure they are measurable, realistic, and aligned with the institute’s core mandate of providing specialized cardiac care. The team also worked on enhancing institutional capacity by identifying gaps in planning, implementation, and reporting mechanisms.
